A grin formed on his face when he heard her laugh, something that always seemed to bring a smile to his face. His heart thumped in his chest as her fingers laced with his. “I missed this, too.” He whispered against her lips before gently pressing them together. His mind went blank for a moment when he heard her whimper, his skin tingling all over before he felt her lips against his again. Being able to be so close to her, not only physically but also emotionally, was almost overwhelming. It was something he knew he would never take for granted. He moved his free hand to run along her thigh lightly before lifting it the slightest amount to angle her better, sliding back into her slowly. Pushing on her leg gently, he continued to sink into her, continuing the slow rhythm and adding stronger thrusts in sporadically until he felt her clench around him, both of them falling over the edge. He collapsed on top of her, peppering her cheek with small kisses until they caught their breath. Slowly he pulled out of her and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close to him. Nothing could describe how amazing the gentle moment felt. Pressing his lips to hers tenderly, he whispered out a small “I love you” before they both fell asleep, wrapped in each other’s arms.
